Site Mission...

This site originally traced the Haveman family genealogy... beginning with Jan Haveman (my great-great grandfather) born in Beilen, Drenthe, the Netherlands in 1812 (or 1814, as I have in my program), and married to Reintje (Rena) Noorman in 1838.

Now, thanks to Bert Haveman in the Netherlands, and his genealogy site, we have been able to trace the Haveman family as far back as Jan Haveman's great-great grandfather, Jan Klaesen Haveman, probably born in the 1670's.

... to Jodie Haveman, who first told me about the "History of the Haveman Family".  Also, thanks to Hazel Worrall for allowing me to copy her copy of it.  A special thanks to Trudy (Haveman) Rinehart for all the effort she put into compiling it... and of course, none of this would have been possible without my loving daughter, Kimiko's dedication to putting everything together for me.
